Interview with 10 Downing Street's Chief Data Analyst

Laura Gilbert, Chief Analyst and Director of Data Science at 10 Downing Street: Laura was CTO of Rescon Technologies for 9 years from startup to acquisition in 2020, leading a team of developers in building health and wellbeing-related web platforms and apps amongst other things. Laura performed cutting-edge research and analytics on a number of scientific research projects, including building a novel on-the-fly QRS detector and visualisation and analysis of data from genetic research into cell cycles. Laura holds a doctorate in Particle Physics and GRID computing from the University of Oxford, and a bachelor's and master's degree in Physics from the University of Cambridge. She has worked as an academic researcher in Particle Physics, an analyst for the Ministry of Defence, and in several financial institutions as a quantitative analyst.
