Scaling HR globally with Caoimhe Keogan, SoundCloud’s VP, People
As 9-year-old Swedish music platform SoundCloud stakes its growth strategy on global expansion and the pursuit of new markets, its ability to forge a globally consistent human capital strategy and HR capability will be critical to its success. Joining from Google in 2013, Caoimhe Keogan, SoundCloud’s VP People, Places and Community has led this charge.
Caoimhe made a point of investing in SoundCloud’s people function early in its lifecycle and it has paid off. The business now has well over 300 people in 3 countries from 39 different nationalities, doubling its headcount in the past two years alone. Hot Topics contributing editor, Karen Rivoire will be unpicking Caoimhe’s strategy.
Having held senior leadership roles at Unilever, and most recently CHRO of branding agency Kantar Millward Brown, a WPP company, and one of the world’s leading experts in helping clients grow great brands, Karen’s unique combination of HR, communications, and brand experience puts her in a unique position to explore the topic.
The first of an on-going series, Karen will be exploring current and future HR trends with members of the Hot Topics community.
